KABUL (Pajhwok): The Independent Election Commission (IEC) on Tuesday postponed the special audit of suspicious votes due to absence of Independent Electoral Complaints Commission (IECC) observers.
On the other hand, IECC said the IEC did not share their programs with the commission for special audit of votes.

MAZAR-I-SAHRIF (Pajhwok): Protesting observers of the Stability and Partnership team led by Dr. Abdullah on Wednesday closed the provincial office of the Independent Election Commission in northern Balkh province.
Mohammad Ayub Bayani, the election office head, told Pajhwok Afghan News they started the audit of votes from some polling stations on Tuesday.
He said ballots from some of the polling stations were audited yesterday and Wednesday morning before the Stability and Partnership team observers shut the gate the provincial election commission.

MAZAR-I-SHARIF (Pajhwok): Some civil society activists in northern Balkh province on Sunday said voter turnout in this month’s presidential elections would be weak in the province if the security situation remains the same.
They were expressed these views at a conference entitled “people’s cooperation in the election process” in Mazar-i-Sharif City, the provincial capital, today

MAZAR-I-SHARIF (Pajhwok): Independent Election Commission (IEC) officials in northern Balkh say 33 out of total 315 polling sites in the province would be shut on the Election Day.

 

MAZAR-I-SHARIF (Pajhwok): Free and Fair Election Foundation of Afghanistan (FFEFA) on Wednesday said peace and election were national processes and they should not be turned to obstacles to each other.
FFEFA organized a conference about peace and democracy in Mazar-i-Sharif, capital of northern Balkh province today.
Shams Rasikh, supervisory and evaluation in charge of FFEFA told Pajhwok Afghan News that peace and election were two national processes and they should not interrupt each other.
