BAMYAN CITY (Pajhwok): About 84,000 people or half of the total registered voters in central Bamyan province exercised their right to enfranchise in the September 28 presidential election, an official said on Monday.
Ghulam Haidar Panahi, foreign relations director at the Independent Election Commission (IEC), told Pajhwok Afghan News that only one polling station out of 220 stations remained closed during the polling and people cast their votes in the province.

BAMYAN CITY (Pajhwok): Awareness program regarding biometric voting for illiterate womenhas been launched in central Bamyan province for the September 28 presidential election, an official said on Thursday.
Aqila Yousufi, Independent Election Commission (IEC) gender section head for Bamyan, told Pajhwok Afghan News that the aim of the biometric awareness program was to encourage women to widely partake in the presidential election.

BAMYAN (Pajhwok): The remoteness of voter registration centers, wide-spread rigging in the Wolesi Jirga elections and lack of trust over the Independent Election Commission (IEC) are to blame for lack of people’s interest in the upcoming presidential election in central Bamyan province.
Earlier, the Independent Election Commission (IEC) announced launching a 20-day voter registration process for the Sept 28 presidential election.

BAMYAN CITY (Pajhwok): Following complains and objections regarding alleged fraud and rigging in recent Wolesi Jirga polls, the votes of 32 ballot boxes in central Bamyan province have been reopened by the regional Independent Electoral Compliant Commission (IECC).
Mohammad Hadi Amiri, head of the local IECC, told Pajhwok Afghan News the process of inspection and recount of votes of 32 ballot boxes had been launched in the province amid at separating fake and transparent votes.

BAMYAN CITY (Pajhwok): The Independent Electoral Complaints Commission (IECC)’s regional office in central Bamyan province said on Wednesday election officials did not provide complaint registration papers to observers on the Election Day.
