FARAH CITY (Pajhwok): The Taliban on Tuesday denied kidnapping 18 voters and killing two others in western Farah province after local residents alleged so.
Local residents accused the Taliban of killing two people and kidnapping 18 others over voting in the recent Wolesi Jirga elections, but the Taliban denied their involvement.

FARAH CITY (Pajhwok): Many people in western Farah province said they did not find their names on voter lists at polling stations they visited on Saturday.
Pajhwok reporter met with dozens of people at polling stations in Farah City Stadium, Mirman Nazo school, Nafesa Tawfiz Mirzai school, Arbab Kala school and Malai school.
Those interviewed said they had registered as voters in the same polling stations but did not find their names in voter lists there.

FARAH CITY (Pajhwok): A Wolesi Jirga hopeful from western Farah province may be released from prison in a couple days after spending about seven months in jail in a fraud case.

FARAH CITY (Pajhwok): Five days of clashes between security forces and insurgents have displaced hundreds of families in Khak-i-Safed district of western Farah province, officials said on Monday.
The gun battles that continued for five consecutive days forced hundreds of families in Khoshkabi, Korghan, Nawi Deh and some other areas to flee their homes and move to Push-i-Rod and Bala Baluck districts of the province, a member of the provincial council, Dadullah Qani, told Pajhwok Afghan News. He had no information about casualties in the clashes.
