The northwestern Badghis province is historically known as a central place for civil societies, which are established in the provincial capital as well as districts.
According to Sayed Agha Arfaq, besides male, the female community is actively participating in functions of civil societies.
The civil societies in the province are established in an attempt to address all kind of social, cultural, sports and industrial related issues of the community and to work for the development of various fields.
1-         Badghis Film:

1-      Badghis National Radio:
Founded in 1986, the Badghiz National Radio remained a media tool of pro-soviet campaign since it was established, however, its broadcast halted because of continued war in the country.
The radio is rehabilitated in 2004 by the financial assistance extended by Spanish Provincial Rehabilitation Team.
The National Radio now broadcasts in area of provincial capital, Qala-i-Naw on FM waves.
It has 17 hours transmission. The radio has 15 volunteer employees.

3 – Haji Khan Mohammad Allah Yar:

Son of Majnoon, Haji Khan Mohammad Allah Yar was born in 1966 in Jwand district of Badghis province. He is graduated from a high school and worked as national security chief, police chief and acting head of his home district. He has served as provincial council member and its deputy.

Ahmadullah Alizai Son of Haji Abdul Karim Khan, Ahmadullah Alizai was born in 1973 in Maroof district of Kandahar province.
During Soviets invasion of Afghanistan, he was immigrated along with his family to Baluchistan, Pakistan where he completed his primary education and received his BA degree in Law.
After completing his education, he established a planning and reconstruction NGO and started his activities in Afghanistan in 1995.

Located to the west of the country, Badghisprovincecomprises seven administrative units including Qala-e-Naw, the provincial capital.
 
1.      Qala-e-Naw: 
Badghis is among the provinces, which direly needs rehabilitation and development projects. Qala-e-Naw Road Project is the only ongoingscheme leading to Heart. The province gets lowest level of reconstruction programs implementation. People of the province have been vehemently complaining about lack of reconstruction projects.
 

Badghis is one of the northwestern provinces with Qala-e-Naw is its capital city. The province shares border with Herat to the west, Faryab to the East, Turkmenistan to the North and Ghor to the south.
The province covers 23,000 square kilometers area and comprised six districtswith the estimated population of 439,500 individuals.
During the reign of the SassanianEmpire, Badghiswas a part of Sassanianterritory’ following division of the Sassanian in the reign of KhusrauNoshirvanIran was divided into four parts.

KABUL (PAN): The Badghis governor on Monday said his administration would resolve the problems of clean drinking water supply and electricity through importing power from Turkmenistan.
In an exclusive interview with Pajhwok Afghan News, Ahmadullah Alizai listed ensuring security, combating corruption and smuggling, implementing reconstruction schemes and improving education as his priorities for Badghis.
