NEILI (Pajhwok): Residents of central Daikundi province are complaining about the shortage of voter registration centers, saying women and people with disabilities are unable to register and vote in the upcoming presidential election due to impassable routes.

NELLI (Pajhwok): Some women in central Daikundi province say they are compelled to dress like men while leaving home for work outside due to negative perception regarding working women.
Cultural restrictions and negative views about women’s abilities to work outside home and street harassment are key challenges that prevent females from gaining self-reliance.

NELLI (Pajhwok): Some officials in central Daikundi province on Saturday said that malfunctioning of the biometric devices, unfamiliarity with the system and lack of ballot papers may deprived many residents from casting their vote and the issue needed to the resolved promptly.
Abdul Qadir Haidari, the district administrative chief of Meramour district, told Pajhwok Afghan News of the names of 400 voters out of total 900 did not existed in the voter list.
