FARAH CITY (Pajhwok): Activists of the Afghan Millat Party (AMP) held a rally in southern Farah province on Thursday demanding immediate results of the presidential election.

 
FARAH CIY (Pajhwok): The month’s long electoral crisis has left negative impact on every field of life and discouraged masses to extend that the people of western Farah province said did not believe anymore on the election phenomenon.
“We hate hearing election related news and stories anymore,” they added. It merits mention that the presidential election went to second round when none of the contestant gained 50+1 votes in the April 5 vote.

 
MAIMANA (Pajhwok): The convoy of reforms and unanimity came under militants’ attack on Friday in northwestern Faryab province, leaving three people dead and as many injured, an official said.
Sayed Abdul Salam Nuzhat, administrative chief of Dawlat Abad district, the clash occurred in Jangal locality on the outskirts of the district. Gen. Abdul Malik who was leading the convoy in connection of canvassing in favour of presidential runner Dr. Abdullah Abdullah was attacked by militants.

 
FARAH CIY (Pajhwok): Seven polling stations that were opened in the April 5 polls would stay closed in the runoff election due to insecurity in western Farah province, an official said on Thursday.
The decision to keep the polling sites shut was taken in a meeting of Farah Military Council, director of the Independent Election Commission (IEC) told Pajhwok Afghan News.

 
FARAH CIY (Pajhwok): The Independent Election Commission (IEC) sacked 57 observers in western Farah province after they were found involved in rigging during the April 5 ballot, an official said on Monday.
