GHAZNI CITY (Pajhwok): Most members of the provincial council (PC) have long been absent from their office in the capital of southern Ghazni province and are busy with their personal engagements.  
According to the rules, no government official could stay off from duty for three days in a row without a solid reason, but parliament, provincial council members and government officials remain absent for months.

GHAZNI CITY (Pajhwok): Deputy head of Provincial Council (PC) in southern Ghazni province on Sunday alleged majority of members were illiterate, in collusion of land grabbing and were indifferent to resolve problems of people in this remote province.
Abdul Jami Jami in his an exclusive interview told Pajhwok Afghan News said that PC members failed to materialize their pledges made with people during canvassing.

CHAZNI CITY (Pajhwok): A Qatar funded Red Crecesent (RC) organization distributed aid and assistance among 1,000 vulnerable families in southern Ghazni province, en employee of RC said on Tuesday.
Samiullah Sadiqi told Pajhwok Afghan News that the RC initially conducted survey and prepared a list of 1,000 poverty-stricken families.

GHAZNI CITY (Pajhwok):  A former provincial council member of southern Ghazni province was wounded in militants attack in Ghazni City, the provincial capital, on Saturday, the governor’s spokesman said.
Shafiq Nang told Pajhwok Afghan News the incident took place in Refugees Township in Ghazni City at noon.
He said Hamida Gulistani, former provincial council female member, was shot at with a silencer pistol by militants. The rebels, however, managed to escape the scene after attack.

GHAZNI CITY (Pajhwok): A senior public representative in southern Ghazni province on Wednesday said tribal elders had repeatedly held talks with the Taliban’s Quetta Council in Pakistan on the release of 31 kidnapped passengers, but in vain.
Abdul Jami Jami, deputy head of the provincial council of Ghazni province, told Pajhwok Afghan News the elders had been referred to the Taliban’s Quetta Council for talks by the kidnappers.
