KABUL (Pajhwok): The Independent Election Commission (IEC) on Monday announced transferring over 1.7 million biometric votes so far to its main server.
IEC Commissioner Rahima Zarifi told reporters here so far 1,737,078 biometric votes from 22,588 voting booths had been transferred to the central server while votes from 4,000 more booths were processed and being transferred to the central server.

AIBAK (Pajhwok): The number of people who took part in last month’s presidential election was 48 percent less than those voted in last year's parliamentary election in northern Samangan province.
The presidential election was held on September 28 and parliamentary election was conducted in October 2018. Results of the presidential election are yet to be announced.

KABUL (Pajhwok): A member of the Independent Election Commission (IEC) on Tuesday said the process of transferring data from biometric devices to the central system was going slow, so it would not be possible to announce primary election results on October 19, if the situation continued.
Based on the election schedule, the primary results of September 28 presidential election should be announced on October 19.
