Zahra Bayan Shinwari, Chairman
The daughter of Mohammad Jan, Zahra Bayan Shinwari is 43 years old. She is Pashtn and hails from Parwan province and is Afghan national. She completed her bachelor’s degree in law and has 10 years work experience.
She had no political affiliation when introduced by the Hezb-i-Sulh Melli Islami Afghanistan.

 

Maulvi Din Mohammad Azimi, deputy of the IECC
Maulvi Din Mohammad Azimi son of Mullah Abdullah is Tajik from western Ghor province. The 42 years old is Afghan national.
Azimi accomplished his master’s level education in criminology and has 9 years experience as lawmaker of the Wolesi Jirga.
Azimi had no link with any political party in the past but he was introduced for the commissioner post by the Jamit-i-Islami Afghanistan Party.

 

Dr. Mohammad Qasim Elyasi:, IECC secretary and spokesman
Dr. Mohammad Qasim Elyasi is the son of Qurban Ali. The 48 years old is from the Hazara ethnic group from Ghazni province and has Afghan nationality.
He has a doctorate degree in Islamic philosophy and two master’s degrees in Islamic philosophy. He completed his bachelor’s degree in Islamic jurisprudence, law, philosophy, Islamic culture and education and has a 13-year work experience.
He has written books on philosophy and politics, human rights, basic freedom and rights.
He is the founding member of a private university and is currently also serving as the head of a private university in Kabul.
Having no affiliation with any political party, he was introduced by the Harakat-i-Islami Mutahid Afghanistan to be chosen as one of the election commissioners.

 

Sayed Qudbudding Roidar, IECC commissioner
Sayed Qodbudding Roidar, son of Maulvi Sayed Jalaluddin, is a Pashton and a resident of central Kapisa province. Holding Afghan Nationality, the 39 years old is bachelor in Sharia and has ten years work experience.
Roidar had no link with any political parties in the past but he was introduced for the commissioner post by the Afghanistan’s People Movement Party.
 
Mohammad Younis Toghra, IECC commissioner
Mohammad YounisToghra son of Khiser Qol, is from the Uzbek ethnic group and a resident of northwestern Faryab province. The 42 years old,  who is an Afghan national, has master’s degree in management.
Toghra had no link with any political party in the past and was introduced for the commissioner post by the Junbish-i-Milli Party.
