KANDAHAR CITY (Pajhwok): Frontrunner Ashraf Ghani Ahmadzai on Friday urged Taliban’s supreme leader Mullah Mohammad Omar and Hizb-i-Islami Afghanistan leader Gulbadin Hekmatyar to return to their homeland and choose to live in peace as part of a broader national consensus.
“Peace comes with national consensus and on the basis of that consensus I urge all the disgruntled leaders, especially Mullah Omar and Gulbadin Hekmatyar to return to their country and live in peace with their brothers,” Ghani told a campaign gathering in Kandahar City.
