FEROZKOH (Pajhwok): Residents on Tuesday complained about a shortage of doctors and medical practitioners at government hospitals and overall poor health services in western Ghor province.
Four patients, sharing a single bed, were treated by doctors at the main hospital, residents said, adding it had been a normal practice for years. The building of Ghor Civil Hospital was constructed some 50 years ago.

FEROZKOH (Pajhwok): Residents of western Ghor province on Saturday complained of having no representation in the newly-introduced cabinet.

The much-awaited Council of Ministers was unveiled last week and its members are scheduled to seek a vote of confidence from parliament this week.

“In the last 13 years, our youth joined army and police ranks to defend and stabilise the country. We hoped for overall political participation in matters of national importance,” they said.

FIROZKOH (Pajhwok): Provincial police chief for western Ghor province has been fired in the wake of series of protest against him last month, an official said Wednesday.

Police spokesman Abdul Hai Khatibi told Pajhwok Afghan News that Brig. Gen. Fahim Qaim, police chief for Ghor province, was fired under presidential decree put forward by the ministry of interior.

 
FIROZKOH (Pajhwok): Residents of western Ghor province say the next president should appoint qualified individuals on government posts and disarm illegal armed groups and implement reconstruction projects in the province.The prolonged electoral process has pushed Afghanistan into economic, security and other problems.The people of Ghor asked the election bodies to complete the vote audit process at the earliest so that the new president could be inaugurated.
