Helmand

Helmand provincial council has 15 members. Four members have also served in the previous term while the rests are new faces. Mohammad Karim Attal is the head of the council, Ibadullah Alizai deputy head and Hayatullah Mayar is the secretary of the council.
1- Mohammad Karim Attal:

The southern province of Helmand alongside its capital Lashkargah city is comprised of 14 administrative units as follow:  
1 – Lashkargah City:
Lashkargah is the capital city and populated part of Helmand province. There are civil and military airports, a number of factories, wide agriculture lands and markets in the city, where people are busy in their daily business.
 
2 – Nad Ali District:

Maj. Gen. Mohammad Naeem Balouch, son of Habibullah was born in Zaranj city of Nimroz province in 1951.
He got primary education in Nimroz and had gotten his BA from the military academy. After being graduated as lieutenant, Naeem worked at eight military division until 1978.
Later he landed his job and started his struggle against the soviet occupation.
He acted as police chief of Nimroz between 1992 to 1995. He fought against the Taliban 1995 till 2001. He also worked as intelligence chief of Nimroz, Ghor and Helmand provinces from 2002 to 2009.

Helmand (PAN): The widely-known Helmand province--- rich in culture and tradition—occupies a significant geo-strategic importance that is laying west of Afghanistan at 60 degree altitude, and 29 degree latitude.
Having 61,829 square meters area, Helmand shares border in the east with the southern Kandahar, in north with Uruzgan, Daikundi and Gor provinces, Farah and Nimroz in its west while sharing 162 kilometers long border with the Durand Line in the east.
