KABUL (Pajhwok): Former president Hamid Karzai on Wednesday termed the election process as not national and against values of democracy, a fact he said the low turnout manifested.
 “I have earlier told our people that if suitable conditions for election are not provided, the ballot process would result into further crisis and divide. This will further weaken our country and hamper the peace process,” Karzai said in a statement from his office.

KABUL (Pajhwok): Soon after the announcement of the final results from the presidential vote, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Dr. Abdullah vowed to establish a parallel and inclusive government.
Late on Tuesday, the Independent Election Commission (IEC) announced President Ashraf Ghani had won the September 2019 election with 50.64 percent of vote, followed by Abdullah.

KABUL (Pajhwok): Independent Election Commission (IEC) on Tuesday announced Ashraf Ghani winner of presidential election by securing 50.64 percent of all votes in final result.
The presidential election was held on September 28. Based on initial results, Ashraf Ghani secured 50.64 percent of the votes while Dr. Abdullah Abdullah secured over 39 percent of total votes.

SAR-I-PUL (Pajhwok): The vote audit process was expected today Sunday but could not be started as yet due to absence of Independent Electoral Complaints Commission (IECC) observers, officials said.
The special audit of 10 percent of total 137,630 votes and 15 percent of the total 102,012 votes was expected to start today.
