KANDAHAR CITY (Pajhwok): Women have the ability to stop their male family members from going to the war if their awareness is increased, peace negotiators in southern Kandahar province believe.
Jamila Yousafi, the provincial peace committee secretary, told this to a gathering of women coming from Kandahar City, the provincial capital, and districts a day earlier.

KANDAHAR CITY (Pajhwok): President Ashraf Ghani on Tuesday said he never discussed with Pakistan the Durand Line as such discussions were not his authority.
The president, who arrived in this southern city of Kandahar with a high-level delegation, was addressing a huge gathering in the Mandigag Place.
Local civil and military officials, tribal elders, influential figures, civil society representatives and those coming with the president attended the gathering.

KANDAHAR (Pajhwok): President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani has arrived in southern Kandahar province heading a high-level delegation, an official said on Tuesday.
Samim Khpelwak, governor spokesperson, told Pajhwok Afghan News President Ghani arrived at the city around 11a.m.
He added the president directly went to Mandigak palace where he is holding talks with local officials, elders and members of civil society.

KANDAHAR CITY (Pajhwok): The customs department of southern Kandahar province collected nearly one and a half billion afghanis in revenue over the past five months, showing a 33 percent increase, an official said on Tuesday.
Customs Director Syed Jamal Hashmi told Pajhwok Afghan News during an exclusive interview that the increase was a result of the growth in volume of trade and the implementation of reforms in customs affairs.
