JALALABAD (Pajhwok): Thirty-two complains have been registered before and after the launch of the election campaign in eastern Nangarhar province, the Independent Election Complaints Commission (IECC) said on Sunday.
The launch of the campaign by candidates ahead of the scheduled time, as well as pasting pictures and posters on government and private properties are some of the complaints registered with the Nangarhar branch of the IECC.

KABUL (Pajhwok): At least 14 people were killed and another more than 40 wounded in a suicide attack targeting a Wolesi Jirga hopeful’s campaign office in Kama district of eastern Nangarhar province on Tuesday.
Attaullah Khogyani, the governor’s spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News the blast took place in Sangarsai area of the district at around 1:30pm.

JALALABAD (Pajhwok): Islamic State or Daesh fighters and a militia controlled by a powerful lawmaker have beheaded four men from each side after being captured during clashes in tit-for-tat revenge killings in eastern Nangarhar province, an official said on Sunday.
After government forces conducted operations against Daesh militants in Achin district, hundreds of gunmen loyal to lawmaker Haji Zahir Qadir established a base in the town about a month back.

JALALABAD (Pajhwok): Hundreds of residential plots in the Police Town have been sold illegally in the eastern province of Nangarhar, public representatives claimed on Sunday.
Work on the 500-plot housing schemes, also known as Sherzai Town, in front of the Police Training Centre, was initiated eight years ago. But the project came to a halt at a time when policemen had already paid 30,000 afghanis for each plot.
