2 Baghlan PC members survive blast

PUL-I-KHUMRI (Pajhwok): Two provincial council members escaped unharmed when a roadside bomb went off in front of their vehicle in northern Baghlan province on Saturday.
Provincial council member Assadullah Shahbar told Pajhwok Afghan News the blast occurred at around 12:30pm in front of the council’s entrance gate.
Shahbaz added he came out from the council office along with his colleague Alam Jan Mujahid when the blast took place, damaging their bullet-proof vehicle, but nobody was hurt.
Baghlan police spokesman Jawed Bashart said an investigation was underway to identify the culprits behind the incident.
Two years back, Rasoul Mohsini, the previous council’s head, was killed along with 16 others in a suicide blast.
