"ادامۀ کار سرپرستان خلاف قانون است؛ حکومت نباید قانون را نقض کند"

KABUL (Pajhwok): The Wolesi Jirga or lower house of parliament on Wednesday asked the government to introduce nominees for the slots of defence minister, the spymaster and heads of the Attorney General Office and the Afghan Red Crescent Society for a vote of confidence as soon as possible.
Woelsi Jirga speaker Abdul Rauf Ibrahimi said acting ministers and departmental heads could not perform duty for a period of more than two months under the national Constitution, asking the government not violate the law.
He asked the government to introduce nominees for the mentioned positions for approval by the lower house, saying the two important security organs (Defence Ministry and the spy service) should not be run by acting chiefs.
Over the past six months, Mohammad Masoum Stanikzai has been continuing his job as acting defence minister and Massoud Andarabi as the active National Directorate of Security or NDS chief over the past one month.
Since the unity government’s inauguration, Fatima Gilani has been serving as acting head of the ARCS and Noor Habib Jalal as acting attorney general.
About electronic ID cards and census law, Ibrahimi said” the government has no right to delay the enforcement of an approved law.”
“If there is any problem regarding the census law, the government should propose suggestions, otherwise the law should be enforced,” he said.
