KABUL (Pajhwok): Voting in the presidential ballot ended at 5pm on Saturday evening after a two-hour extension.
Earlier, the Independent Election Commission (IEC) announced that the voting would start at 7am and end at 3pm, but the period was extended until 5pm.
At least 13 candidates are contesting the election, seen as a two-horse race between President Ashraf Ghani and CEO Abdullah.
Some election observers said there were problems in voter lists while some biometric devices did not work and force was used to take finger print and photographs of women besides technical problems in the voting process.
