MAIDAN SHAHR (Pajhwok): Construction work on 17-kilometer road of Chak district in central Maidan Wardak province has been started after four years delay, an official said Monday.
Attaullah Khogyani, acting governor’s spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News the road connecting Kabul-Ghazni highway would be constructed in one year.
In addition, building a 500 meters embankment wall, 80 small and four big bridges were also included in the project, he said, adding the 17 kilometers road passes through Dasht-i-Top area.

MAIDAN SHAHR (Pajhwok): At least five distance learning education centers have been made operational on Sunday in central Maidan wardak province, an official said.
Ahmed Shah, director education and information technology, told Pajhwok Afghan News the government inked an agreement to open 200 online computers centers. The online centers, he said would provide an opportunity to students of remote areas to be linked with capital Kabul to learn through internet.

5 distance learning edu centers opened in Wardak

MAIDAN SHAHR (Pajhwok): A member of provincial council of central Maidan Wardak province on Sunday urged the government to take immediate action to resolve a dispute between warring Hazara and Kochi (nomads) tribes.
Attaullah Khogyani, the governor’s spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News that the issue was thoroughly discussed in a joint meeting of provincial council members and with the acting governor of Maidan Wardak.

KABUL (Pajhwok): Located 30 kilometres to the west of Kabul province, it is reported that the central MaidanWardak has around 53 known sites of natural resources.
These sites have been identified with the help of locals followed by surveys by the geological department, reports said.
1- Chromitesmines:

The Narkh district of Maidan Wardakhas large scale chromitesmines, which are located in BadamSurkhBaidak, Narkh Loy-e-Abdari and Depak.
